Arsenal makes Champions League history with 7-1 thumping of PSV

Arsenal have become the first team in Champions League history to score 7 goals away from home in a knockout match.

The Gunners pumped 7 goals passed host PSV Eindhoven on a night the home side won’t want to remember.

Timber opens scoring after the hosts hit bar, followed by Nwaneri who doubles the lead, and Merino getting a third goal for the visitors.

PSV’s Long  pulled one back via penalty, but the rout continued with Arsenal captain, Odegaard getting a brace, followed by a goal each from Trossard and Calafiori to make the scores 1-7 at the final whistle.

PSV will travel to the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday March 12 to try to salvage something before their exit from the competition.
