Atiku, Tambuwal, Imoke meet with Obasanjo

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Monday met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo at the residence of the former Nigerian leader in Abeokuta.

Atiku arrived Obasanjo’s residence, at about 12: 37p.m., and went straight into a closed door meeting.

Atiku’s delegation accompanied consisted of former governors of Sokoto and Cross Rivers State, Senator Aminu Tambuwa and Senator Liyel Imoke, respectively, Senator Abdul Ningi, and other eminent northern political leaders.

Atiku alongside members of his entourage were received at the Obasanjo’s residence by elder statesman, Oyewole Fasawe.

Details of the visit was not clear, but there has been intense realignment of political forces especially by members of the opposition political parties in line with their bid to defeat the administration of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

Atiku was Obasanjo’s Deputy from May 1999 to May 2007.
