Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar on Saturday visited former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Daura, Katsina State.
Atiku was accompanied by key stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The visit, described as a courtesy call and to offer Sallah homage, has sparked discussions and speculations about political alliances and strategies ahead of the 2027 elections.
Atiku posted photos of the visit on his X handle and wrote: “Accompanied by some stakeholders of our great party, the @OfficialPDPNig, we visited the Daura residence of former President Muhammadu Buhari to pay a courtesy call and offer Sallah homage.”
Atiku is a known critic of the administration of Buhari and his visit is being taunted by many as preparation for 2027 presidency which he is bent on running.
