Bakori takes over as 47th CP in Kano
The newly appointed Commissioner of Police in Kano State, Dr Ibrahim Adamu Bakori has assumed duty on Monday with a pledge to work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of all residents.
Bakori becomes the 47th Commissioner of Police in Kano State, and replaces Salman Dogo Garba, who was promoted to Assistant Inspector General of Police.
He has called on the public to cooperate with the police and provide useful information to aid in the fight against crime.
Bakori, a seasoned police officer with over 28 years of service, brings a wealth of experience to his new role having served as O/C Patrol and Guard, Akwanga Division, Divisional Crime Officer, Lafia and Doma Divisions, Nassarawa Command, Aid-De-Camp to the Speaker, House of Representatives, Staff Officer Junior, Department of Operation, Force Headquarters, Abuja, Escort Commander to First Lady, 24 PMF, Presidential Escort, Unit Commander, 2ic Squadron Commander, and Commanding Officer 45 PMF, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
He was also 2ic Anti-Kidnapping and Political Matters Division, and O/C Monitoring Unit CID, FCT Command, Chief Superintendent of Police, ‘A’ Police Mobile Force, Headquarters, Abuja, Commanding Officer, 17 PMF, Akure, Principal Staff Officer I and II to the Inspector-General of Police, Assistant Commissioner, Criminal Investigation Department, Rivers and Bayelsa States, Assistant Commissioner, Special Protection Unit (SPU), Force Headquarters, Abuja, Commander, Bayelsa Joint Task Force, Operation Doo Akpo, and Commissioner of Police, Homicide, Force Criminal Investigation Department, Abuja.
