Bandits Abduct Nursing Mother, 22 Others In Kaduna
Bandits have stormed Mani village in Rido Ward and Danhonu II Millennium City, both in the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State and abducted 23 people.
Reports indicated that 19 people were abducted in Mani community on Wednesday, including a nursing mother and an infant.
The bandits in large numbers were said to have moved house to house shooting before abducting the 19 people.
In another incident on Thursday, bandits attacked Dan Honu II, New Millennium City where they abducted a nurse and her three sons.
According to sources, the went to the house of one Mr Mutiu Adeleke, where they abducted the nurse and the children at about 10 p.m.
“The gunmen invaded the community, firing shots indiscriminately and without resistance before taking the victims,” a source said.
It was learnt that the nurse was eventually abandoned in the bush by her abductors and later returned home, but they went with the three children.
“Following the recent kidnapping of two journalists, Mr Adeleke had decided to relocate and had secured a new apartment in a safer area just two days before the attack,” the source said.
