Bandits burn villages, kill 5 in Katsina
More than 100 bandits have invaded villages in Tafoki ward of Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State on Sunday evening killing five residents and abducting many.
The bandits arrived the two villages on motorcycles at about 6:20pm shooting at residents before going house to house looting foodstuffs and livestock.
At Gidan Sule Doma, one of villages attacked, the bandits killed four residents and stole foodstuffs and motorcycles, while in the second village, Kwana/Doka, one person was shot dead and two others injured. Those injured were later evacuated to hospital after the armed bandits retreated.
The Syndicate reports that there has been high rise in bandits’ attacks in some local government areas in Katsina State since the military began massive operation in neighbouring Zamfara State.
