Bandits’ daylight attacks leave 9 dead in Katsina’s Dutsinma LGA

Bandits have struck thrice in separate attacks in less than 24 hours killing nine people and injuring others in Dutsinma local government area of Katsina State.

Intelligence sources said that the first attack by the bandits at about 10pm on Friday night led to the death of three people in Gandi village.

The bandits also struck on Saturday morning at about 10:00am in Ikuluwa village where they left another three people dead.

“The bandits proceeded to Tashar Mangwaro in Makera ward where they killed three people. In less than 24 hours these terrorists have killed nine people apart from those injured.

“When they encircled Tashar Mangwaro, they faced resistance from the villagers and local vigilance group who forced them to retreat. However, three of the villagers died in the unfortunate attack.

“Both the community watch volunteers, local vigilantes and Policemen from Dutsinma Division are doing their utmost best to safeguard the people, and we pray for their success,” the source told The Syndicate. ️
