COAS Commends 402 Special Forces
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has applauded the remarkable efforts of the 402 Special Forces Brigade in safeguarding the Kaduna-Abuja road and rail corridor.
The commendation came during his operational visit to the Brigade Headquarters in Kaduna on Monday.
On arrival, Oluyede received comprehensive briefing on the Brigade’s operational activities and challenges, and later addressed the troops.
He told the officers and soldiers to sustain the offensive against terrorists, insurgents, and other criminal elements operating within their jurisdiction.
The COAS pledged to promptly respond to the challenges highlighted by the Brigade to enhance the operational efficiency of the troops.
Oluyede reiterated his unwavering commitment to enhancing the welfare and accommodation of Nigerian Army personnel, emphasising that every soldier deserves optimal care and support.
He urged the officers to lead by example, and demonstrate courage and resilience in tackling security threats.
Oluyede commended the Brigade’s operational successes, highlighting the critical role they play in the Army’s overall strategy.
“The demand for the services of the 402 SF Brigade across various units and formations underscores your exceptional performance,” he remarked.
The visit was aimed at boosting troops morale and operational readiness.
The COAS was accompanied by the Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Principal Staff Officers from Army Headquarters, and the General Officer Commanding 1 Division Nigerian Army.
