Former Jigawa state governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido has said that the best way to defeat President Bola Tinubu in 2027 is for opposition politicians to team up under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Lamido said that the current emotional blackmail of Tinubu by some opposition politicians will never remove the President from power.

No amount of emotion and anger will remove the President, he said in a remark after hosting some PDP members for the breaking of the fast on Saturday night at his residence in Bamaina, Jigawa State.

Lamido observed that most of the members of the opposition in other parties clamouring to unseat Tinubu were members of the PDP in the past, and said only the PDP has the capacity and capabilities to wrestle power and unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“So, come back to the PDP, let us reunite to became more stronger,” he told Nasiru El-Rufa’, Peter Obi, and Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, among others, who were hitherto members of the PDP.

“You can’t succeed in fighting Tinubu by emotion, by anger, or trying to revenge, it is not possible. It is better for all the leaders and chieftains of the other opposition political parties to came back home to PDP and join the remaining family members to achieve the desire objectives.

“Came back to your home, there is no shame in coming back home, rejoin your initial and trusted family members witj whom you achieved and provided good governance in the country between 1999 and 2015.

“When a country is going through difficulties and looking for a way forward, you don’t miss your vision based on your personal mode, your pain. The panic measures would not help us.

“We need to be more reflective, more sober and more honest to ourselves to look at the country, see what it was before this government came in. Are we better off now than under PDP? the answer is no, we are worse now.

“So, please come back to where you were. Remove PDP in Nigerian history from 1999 to date there is no Nigeria. All those who parade around as former governors, ministers, parliamentarian are all creation of the PDP, they should therefore come back home. There is no shame in coming back home”.

To members of the PDP and leaders, Lamido commended them for their patriotism and foresight, and remaining committed to finding solutions to the social and economical challenges of Nigerians.
