Dangote Packaging firm Launches Advance Machinery To Boost Production
Dangote Packaging Limited (DPL) has commissioned state-of-the-art machinery at its Obajana plant to enhance production.
The Managing Director and Chief Eexecutive Officer of the company, Mr. Sai Prakash, explained that the machinery were the latest in the market, and a significant step in improving productivity and quality of the company’s bags.
In his remarks, the Group Managing Director, Dangote Cement Plc, Mr, Arvind Pathak, welcomed the intallation of the new machineries saying they would bridge the gaps identified in the system.
Pathak said there has been significant changes over the years since the inception of cement bags production by the company.
Both the Chief Manufacturing Officer, Dangote Cement, Mr. Sunil Mahajan, and the Director, Operations, Nigeria of Dangote Cement, Mr. Anandam Duraisamy, echoed the same sentiment and looked forward to high production turnover of qualitative cement bags by the company.
On his part, the Plant Director, Obajana Dangote Cement Plc, Engr Azad Nawabuddin expressed optimism that the new machineries will considerably improve the operations of both the DPL and the cement company.
He reiterated that the DCP in Obajana would continue to support the packaging company’s operations in every way possible.
Earlier in his welcome address, the General Manager of Dangote Packaging Limited in Obajana, Mr. Peter Dickson, said the company has stepped into “a new era, an era where we are poised to achieve greater heights with the help of this cutting-edge technology.”
He added: “As we commission this machinery, let us also look ahead to the possibilities it unlocks. With this new technology, we are not just investing in a machine but investing in our future as a manufacturer of high quality polypropylene laminated sacks.”
Mr. Dickson said the machineries are of high speed, fueled by innovative advance technology.
