Two women who were wounded when an improvised explosive device went off in Tangaza Local Government Area of Sokoto State have died, raising the casualty figure to eight.
The blast occurred during Eid-el-Kabir celebrations in Dorawa village, Gwabro district of the local. The area has been under terrorists control for over fire years.
Six victims died on Sunday when the locally made IED went off in the area that has a strong camp set up by Lakurawa terrorists.
The latest development was confirmed by Garzali Raka, Security Adviser to the Tangaza Council, and the Police spokesperson in the state, ASP Ahmed Rufai.
They said that the IED exploded as the victims traveled from Gwabro to Zurmuku,.
