Ekpa’s conviction major victory in war against terror – FG
The Federal Government has described the conviction of a chieftain of the proscribed Indegenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Simon Ekpa, as a major victory against terror.
Ekpa was sentenced to six years imprisonment by a court in Finland after he was found guilty of terrorism against the Nigerian state.
In a post on X, Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris said: “We welcome the news of Simon Ekpa’s conviction by a Finnish court for terrorism-related crimes, and his sentencing to six years in prison.”
“A major victory for the Nigerian people in the collective fight against terror.”
