Emir Appoints New Maradin Katsina
The Emir of Katsina, Dr Abdulmuminu Kabir Usman, has approved the appointment of Arch. Mansur Ahmadu Kurfi as Maradin Katsina and District Head of Kurfi.
Mansur will replace his father, Alhaji Ahmadu Kurfi, who died on Wednesday at the age of 93.
The Emir said a in a letter that a date will be announced for the turbanning of the new district head.
He has been a Council Member at Architects Registration Council of Nigeria since 1991, and the President at Association of Consulting Architects Nigeria since 2017.
In his former positions, Mr. Ahmadu served as the Chairman-Education at Commonwealth Association of Architects, and was an Independent Non-Executive Director at Cutix Plc.
He also served as a Director at Intercellular Nigeria Plc from 1998 to 2009, and as a Director at The Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority from 1987 to 1990.
Additionally, he was a Council Member at the University of Lagos from 2000 to 2004, and a Member at Katsina State Housing Authority from 1991 to 1993.
Mansur obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc in Architecture from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, 1971-1977. He later went to the UK and obtained a Post- Graduate Diploma (Urban Planning) from the A-A Architecture School, London 1981-1982; followed by an M.Sc. ( Project Management) at the University of Reading, UK 1989-1991 and a Certificate in Managing Professional Firms from Harvard University Business School, Boston, USA in 2006.
