Engineer bids for Kwara South Senatorial seat, to replace promises with performance

An engineer and African Union ambassador, Chief Sola Ajimati has made known his intention to contest for the Kwara South senatorial seat in 2027 on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking with reporters in Ilorin, Ajimati, an indigene of Edidi, in Isin Local Government Area says he will replace promises with performance if given the opportunity to serve.

The engineer who holds the chieftancy title, Aare Atunluse of Edidi Land said the title was earned through proven grassroots development and impactful community leadership.

Ajimati described himself as a development strategist, and entrepreneur committed to building systems that work and communities that thrive.

“As Group Managing Director of Crownstar Projects Ltd and Founder of Youth Arise For Leadership Initiative (YARLI), I have delivered practical solutions across power, infrastructure, ICT, and youth development.

“My impact is visible: Youth empowerment, digital and vocational skills, solar street lighting, roads and bridges, boreholes, scholarships, community security, and job creation across Edidi and Isin LG.

“I have also engaged at the highest national levels, contributing to government projects and policy development in energy, ICT, and infrastructure,” the aspirant said.

Ajimati said he is also vying to represent Kwara South in the Senate to deliver real solutions, not rhetoric and to provide strong, visible, and effective representation.

“My vision is a modern Kwara South driven by opportunity, powered by infrastructure, and led by empowered people,” he said.
