Garki local council of Jigawa intensifies mobilisation campaign on CVR

 

The Garki local government council of Jigawa State,  says it is providing necessary logistics and intensifying public awareness campaign to mobilize eligible voters for the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR).

This is  contained in  a  statement by Suleman Daudu,  the Information Officer, Garki and Babura local government councils on Wednesday.

Daudu said that the Vice Chairman of Garki local government council, Alhaji  Habu Ibrahim, stated during a sensitization visit by officials of the State Local Government Service Commission in Garki.

He thanked the officials of the Commissioner for the visit, describing it as timely and encouraging.

Also speaking, the Director of Planning, Research and Statistics of the Commission, Alhaji Yahaya Usman Modoji, called upon the local government workers to ensure the success of the ongoing CVR and National Identification Number (NIN) registration.

He emphasized that local government workers should reciprocate the gesture of good governance being enjoyed under the leadership of Gov. Umar A. Namadi, by fully supporting all national and state government policies and programmes aimed at improving the welfare of the people.

Modoji highlighted the importance of voter registration and national identification in promoting development, urging workers to ensure wide publicity and community participation in the exercises.

Speaking, the Secretary of the council, Alhaji Muhammad Dahiru Da’u, and the Director of Administration and General Services, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Anas, assured the Commission of the council’s full support and cooperation.
