Gov. Buni Suspends Machina LG Chairman

The Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has approved the suspension of Machina Local Govt chairman, Idrissa Mai Bukar Machina with immediate effect.
The chairman was suspended for misconduct and insubordination, according to a statement issued by Shu’aibu Abdullah, Press Secretary in the office of Secretary to State Govenment (SSG).
The suspension was in line with the powers vested on the governor by Section 2 of the State Local Government Law, 2019, as amended.
The suspended chairman was directed to hand over the affairs of the local council to the Vice Chairman, pending further directives.
