Gov Namadi appoints Dr Sani Gumel as pioneer Executive Secretary, JSTDA

Gov. Umar Namadi, has approved the appointment of Dr. Sani Abdullahi Gumel as the pioneer Executive Secretary of the newly established Jigawa State Teacher Development Agency (JSTDA).
This is contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim.
A seasoned educationist with over three decades of experience, until this appointment, Dr. Sani served as a senior lecturer at the Jigawa State College of Education, Gumel.
He holds a PhD in Science Education (Chemistry) from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, (ABU) Zaria. His extensive background includes significant roles such as Education Quality Specialist with the Education Sector Support Programme in Nigeria (ESSPIN), Education Consultant (Jigawa PLANE office) as well as the Head of Chemistry Department at the College of Education, Gumel. Dr. Gumel has played a key role in various educational reforms and quality assurance initiatives within Jigawa State.
In his new role, Gumel is expected to enhance the professional development of teachers across Jigawa State by implementing comprehensive training programs, promoting effective teaching methodologies, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders to elevate educational standards.
Ibrahim said the appointment of Dr. Sani Abdullahi Gumel was based on merit, competence and person integrity.
While congratulating the newly appointee, the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim, expressed confidence that his wealth of knowledge and experience will significantly contribute to the advancement of education in the state.
The appointment takes immediate effect.
