Gov. Radda Appoints New Chief Of Staff, 11 Others
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has announced strategic appointments across various government positions to reinforce the administration’s commitment to effective governance and development of the state.
Those appointed include AbdulKadir Mamman Nasir as Chief of Staff (COS), Malik Anas as Commissioner, and Mustapha Bala Batsari as Special Adviser on Market Development.
The new Chief of Staff, who was a former member of the House of Representatives and the current Managing Director of Katsina State Irrigation Development Authority, will replace the erstwhile COS, Jabiru Salisu Tsauri, who has been appointed as the National Coordinator of the New Partnership for Africa Development (NEPAD).
Malik Anas on the other hand was a one-time Accountant General of the state, while Batsari was until now the Board Chairman of the State Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA).
The governor also announced Nasiru Ahmed as Special Adviser, Rural and Social Development; Bilikisu Suleiman, Special Adviser Banking and Finance; Abubakar Ahmad Tsanni, Special Adviser Youth Development; Dr. Mustapha Shehu, Executive Secretary, Katsina State Development Management Board (KSDMB), and Engr. Aminu Barau Mairuwa, Senior Special Assistant, Community Development Programme (CDP).
Also appointed were Dr. Aliyu Rabi’u Kurfi as General Manager Katsina State Housing Authority; Dr. Kabir Ali Masanawa, Executive Director Katsina State History and Culture Bureau; and Zuwaira Ibrahim Boyi as Executi:e Director Investment and Tourism, Katsina State Development Management Board, while Abdullahi Abubakar Gagare was nominated as Chairman of Katsina State Fiscal Responsibility Commission, subject to confirmation of the State House of Assembly.
Governor Radda charged the new appointees to contribute meaningfully to the administration’s development agenda for the good of the state.
