Insecurity: North East Should Continue Support For Military – Gov. Buni
By Muhammad Maitela, Damaturu
Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni has urged people of the North East not to waiver in their support to end the security challenges in the region and across the country.
Governor Buni also called on Nigerians to fervently pray for governments at all levels to succeed in the fight against the security challenges.
“The peace, security and prosperity of the country is paramount to every citizen,” Buni said in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Mohammed Mamman to mark Eid-El-Kabir.
He believed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has shown great commitment to fight insecurity, as such should be supported and encouraged to succeed.
“We should therefore intensify prayers to our leaders to be guided aright for increased peace, security, and prosperity of our dear country.” he added.
Governor Buni urged the people to promote the virtues of peaceful coexistence, love, and sacrifice being lessons of the Eid.
“These virtues should go beyond the Sallah season for us to build a peaceful, strong, and united country,” he added.
The governor commended the security agencies for their commitment to ensuring peace across the state, and the people for their resilience in rebuilding their communities and recovering their means of livelihood after years if devastation by insurgents.
“As the rainy season commences, we should engage in agriculture to produce our food needs.
“Our administration would soon launch a massive agricultural revolution to make agriculture attractive, productive, and profitable to meet our food requirement and export others for economic development.
“You should therefore take advantage of this programme and key into the development agenda of the administration.” Governor Buni advised people of the state.
