Insecurity: Taraba Govt Shuts Down Boarding Schools

The Taraba State Government has ordered the immediate shutdown all boarding schools due to concerns over insecurity in the country.
In a statement, the Commissioner for Information and Re-orientation, Zainab Usman, said on Friday that school principals and proprietors should implement the order and notify parents accordingly.
The Commissioner said that the decision, though inconvenient, was necessary to ensure the safety of the students in view of the attacks on schools in Kebbi and Niger states.
“This directive is a protective step taken in the best interest of every child in Taraba State,” she said.
