A Police Constable, Dayyabi Muhammad, whose 25-year-old wife gave birth to three triplets, is seeking help to provide the needed nutrition and care for the babies to grow in a healthy condition.

It is the couple’s first children after some years of marriage.

“This is a moment of celebration, and also of reflection of the challenges ahead in raising three children at a time.

“Looking at the present economic difficulties and the significant financial responsibilities in taking care of these children, it certainly will not be easy.

“The cost of providing adequate nutritional food for the mother to provide exclusive breastfeeding as medically recommended to three children will be  really challenging.

“With rising inflation, the cost of diapers, baby formula, and medical care will also be overwhelming,” he told The Syndicate.

He therefore called on Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, his wife and compassionate individuals to support them in caring for the children.

The wife, Fiddausi Muhammad, said they had all believed that she would deliver twins based on the scan conducted in hospital.

Fiddausi was delivered of the triplets through Cesarean section at Dutse general hospital.

She said that the babies, a male and two females, are in good health and she had started breastfeeding them.

“I thank Allah for His mercy, favours and blessings. I pray for His support, guidance and what to take care of them”.
