International Children’s Day: Lamido Worries Over Impact Of Security Challenges On Children

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Jigawa state, Alhaji Mustapha Sule Lamido has expressed concern over the difficulties children are facing due to security challenges, and hunger due to bad governance.
In a statement to mark the International Children’s Day, Lamido said the day is being observed at a time when children are facing difficulties of war, hunger and impoverishment in different parts of the world.
“In Nigeria and Africa, children are the foremost victims of poverty, political instability and bad governance.”
He said governments must ensure conducive atmosphere to every child through provisions of adequate security, health, education and nutritional food irrespective of their status.
“While emphasizing on our parental duties to ensure the well-being of children, we reiterate that it is also the responsibility of all domestic and international leaders to ensure the safety and prosperous future of all children,” he added.
