Jigawa Establishes Senior Secondary Education Board

Governor Umar Namadi has approved the establishment of Jigawa State Senior Secondary Education Board (SSEB), with Dr. Abubakar Sabo Yusha’u as the pioneer Executive Chairman.

This is contained in a statement made available to The Syndicate in Dutse by the Public Relations Officer in the Office of the Secretary to the Government, Mr Ismaila Ibrahim Dutse.

The statement said the new board reflects Governor Namadi’s commitment to enhancing the education sector.

Appointed alongside Dr Yusha’u were members of the new board.

They include Malam Abdullahi Hudu, Permanent Member I, Kamilu Ibrahim, Permanent Member II, Abdullahi Yunusa, Permanent Member III, and Safiya Lami Muhammad as the board’s Secretary.

Dr. Yusha’u brings in a wealth of experience and a strong academic background to his new role.

A distinguished alumnus of Bayero University, Kano, the pioneer executive chairman holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Islamic Studies from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a Ph.D. from the same institution.

The government said all the appointments were based on merit, competence, and personal integrity, with the expectation that each appointee will contribute to the development of the state.

It urged them to work diligently towards effectively executing the administration’s policies and programmes in education, while reinforcing innovation and service delivery.
