Jigawa Governor’s Wife Donates School Uniforms, Learning Materials to 1,000 Pupils

Wife of Jigawa State Governor, Hajiya Amina Umar Namadi has donated school uniforms and learning materials to over 1,000 students in Babura Local Government Area of the state.

The items were distributed during a Spelling Bee competition organized by the office of the special assistant to the governor on Universal Basic Education, Comrade Ali Mati Ali, as part of the 2025 International Children Day celebration.

Hajiya Amina reiterated the state government’s unwavering commitment to children welfare, particularly in the area of education and health care.

She explained the need to nurture the talents of the children through quality education and meaningful opportunities, adding that “children are the pride of the society and the future leaders of the state and nation”.

She commended the students for their active participation in the competition and lauded the organizers for their efforts in motivating and empowering the future generation.

On his part, Comrade Ali said the competition was aimed at promoting academic excellence and boosting students’ confidence.

He said that the participants were drawn from various schools to showcase their talents and academic abilities.

Comrade Ali expressed gratitude to Governor Umar Namadi for his continued efforts to revitalize education at all levels in the state.

He also thanked the governor’s wife, Chairman of Babura Local Government, and the Office of the Special Adviser on Basic Education for the crucial roles they played in ensuring the success of the event.
