Jigawa Govt reaffirms support for TIC Dutse

The Jigawa State Government has reiterated its commitment to support the Technology Incubation Centre (TIC) in Dutse to fulfill its mandate of technology commercialization, entrepreneurship development, and job creation across the state.

During the visit, the Head of Service described the Technology Incubation Centre as a recognized and valued institution in Jigawa State, acknowledging its contributions to innovation, enterprise development, and economic growth.
“The Technology Incubation Centre is a household name as far as the Jigawa State Government is concerned. We are aware of the commendable work being done by the Centre in nurturing innovation and supporting entrepreneurs,” he stated.
Earlier, Engineer Shukuranu Uzairu expressed gratitude for the warm reception and deemed the visit both timely and significant. He highlighted the historical evolution of the Technology Incubation Programme (TIP) and the role of TIC Jigawa in fostering innovation-driven enterprises.
He emphasized the importance of state government support for the development of incubation centres nationwide, noting that such interventions have enabled the incubation of thousands of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), resulting in numerous direct and indirect employment opportunities.
The Centre Manager appealed for increased support from the Jigawa State Government in areas such as infrastructure development, provision of industrial parks for graduates and emerging entrepreneurs, and other collaborative initiatives to further enhance the Centre’s capacity to fulfill its mandate.
