JIGAWA SSG PAYS UNSCHEDULED VISIT TO COLLEGE OF NURSING BIRNIN KUDU

The Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim, today has paid an unscheduled visit to the Jigawa State College of Nursing, Birnin Kudu.

Upon arrival, Malam Bala Ibrahim and his entourage were warmly received by the Provost of the College, Malam Garba Adamu, who guided them through the classrooms and various facilities.

The Provost of the College Malam Garba Adamu, briefed the SSG on the college’s remarkable progress, noting that student performance has improved from 60-70% to over 90% since the present administration under Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi took office.

Malam Garba Adamu also highlighted the significant support received from various donor agencies since 2023, which has greatly aided the government’s efforts in infrastructural development.

While discussing challenges faced by the college, the Provost appealed for immediate government intervention.

Responding, the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim said the purpose of the visit is to assess the college’s infrastructural development.

The SSG reiterated that enhancing teaching and learning, along with delivering quality healthcare to the citizens of Jigawa State, is a key priority of Governor Namadi’s 12-point agenda.

Malam Bala Ibrahim assured that the current administration is committed to providing a conducive learning environment to achieve these goals.

“We take these very seriously to ensure that both infrastructure and human development are improved, alongside the training and retraining of college staff,” he stated.

Accompanying the SSG during the visit were Alhaji Abba Mustapha Yola, Permanent Secretary, Directorate of Special Services and Council Affairs, Alhaji Nasiru Haruna, Permanent Secretary, Directorate of Research, Evaluation, and Political Affairs, among others.
