Kano CP cautions new constabless against corruption, misconduct
The Kano State Commissioner of Police, Mr Ibrahim Bakori, has cautioned newly deployed constables in the state against any form of corruption or misconduct.
Bakori said this when he addressed the new police constabless at the command’s headquarters in Bompai Kano.
SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, the state spokesperson for the police, said this in a statement on Wednesday in Kano.
Kiyawa said the newly passed-out police constables were deployed to the state command from various police training colleges across the country.
He quoted the CP as emphasizing on the Command’s zero-tolerance policy toward such practices. He underscored that integrity and accountability were fundamental virtues every police officer must uphold in serving the public faithfully.
He urged them to view this milestone as the beginning of a proud and honorable career and assured them that with hard work, dedication, and respect for human rights, they will earn the trust and confidence of the public and retire with distinction.
The Commissioner reiterated the Command’s commitment to providing full support and guidance as the new officers settle into their roles across their Local Government Areas of indigenes.
Bakori congratulated them for successfully completing their rigorous training, marking their official induction into the esteemed Nigeria Police Force—a family renowned for discipline, dedication, and sacrifice in the service of humanity.
He emphasized that their passing out was not an end but the beginning of a lifelong journey of service to the nation.
The Commissioner stressed the importance of discipline as the cornerstone of policing, urging the constables to maintain professional conduct at all times, uphold the rule of law, and adhere strictly to lawful orders from superiors.
He charged them to demonstrate unwavering dedication to duty, maintain a neat and presentable appearance, and conduct themselves as worthy ambassadors of the Force, both on and off duty.
Bakori also issued a caution regarding the use of social media, reminding the officers of the Nigeria Police Force’s Social Media Policy, stressing that posting, recording, or sharing content while in uniform or on duty is strictly prohibited
He emphasized that the Kano State Police Command remained steadfast in its mission to protect lives and property, prevent and detect crime, and maintain public order in the state.
