Kano Governor Redeploys Justice Commissioner, Solicitor General
Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has redeployed the state Attorny General and Commissioner of Justice, Haruna Isa Dederi to the Ministry of Transport.
The governor also removed the Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mustapha Nuruddeen Muhammad, and moved him to the Ministry of Environment as Permanent Secretary.
The governor’s action was announced in a statement issued by his Spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa on Monday.
“The Commissioner of Humanitarian Affairs, who has been serving in acting capacity at the Ministry of Transport is to return to his substantive Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs.
“The Governor directed that all officials affected by the reassignments to formally hand over the affairs of their offices to the most senior official of the ministry,” the statement added.
It said those affected must move to their posts before the close of work on Tuesday.
The statement said the redeployment was to strengthen governance and enhance service delivery, adding that the governor has reaffirmed his commitment to accountability, efficiency, and purposeful leadership.
