The Special Adviser to Kano State Governor on Works, Engr. Ahmad Ishaq Bunkure has died less than 48 hours after taking oath of office.
The deceased was among the 13 Special Advisers, seven Commissioners and six Permanent Secretaries sworn in on Monday by Governor Abba Yusuf.
Governor Yusuf expressed deep sorrow over the tragic and irreplaceable loss of Engr. Bunkure on Wednesday in Egypt.
He prayed for Allah’s mercy on the deceased and strength for his family to bear the painful loss.
“This is a heartbreaking moment for us as a government. Engr. Bunkure was a dedicated professional whose expertise and contributions were expected to drive our administration’s vision for development. His loss is deeply felt,” the governor said in a statement by his media aide, Sunusi Bature.
