Kano Govt pledges enhanced welfare for intending pilgrims for 2025 Hajj
The Kano State Government has pledged an enhanced welfare for the state’s intending pilgrims for the 2025 Holy Pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
Gov. Abba Yusuf, stated this when he received the state 2024 Hajj Report at the Government House on Saturday in Kano.
Yusuf described the 2024 Hajj as most successful and commended the Amirul Hajj(Leader of the State Delegation) who was also the state Deputy Governor, Malam Aminu Gwarzo,and the management of the state Pilgrims Board for the feat.
According to Yusuf, the receipt of the 2024 Hajj report marks the commencement of preparations for the 2025 Hajj exercise.
“With the receive of this Hajj Report, we have commenced preparations for the 2025 Hajj operations. We want to make it better for our people,” he said.
The report was presented to the Governor by the management of the state Pilgrims Welfare Board led by the Director-General, Mala, Laminu Dan Bappa.
In his remarks, the state Amirul Hajj and the state Deputy Governor, Malam Aminu Gwarzo,thanked the governor for his support for sucess of the Hajj exercise.
He informed the governor that the state’s 2024 Hajj pilgrims were accorded adequate care and attention in terms of good feeding, healthcare and accommodation while in Saudi Arabia.
Earlier, Dan Bappa, said that all the 3,125 state pilgrims performed the Hajj successfully and returned to Nigeria safely.
He said already plans had commenced for the collection of deposits for the 2025 Hajj,and thanked the governor for his support to the 2024 Hajj operations and called for more.
