Kano schools to reopen for 2nd term on Jan 5
The Kano State Government has announced Sunday, Jan. 5, as the resumption date for all Boarding Public, Private Primary, and Post Primary Schools in the state for the commencement of the 2024/2025 second term academic session.
Malam Balarabe Kiru, the Director of Public Enlightenment of the state Ministry of Education, stated this in a statement on Friday in Kano.
Kiru said that pupils and students in Day schools across the state are to resume on Monday, Jan. 6 and called on Parents/Guardians of Students to take note of the resumption date to ensure total compliance.
He, however, warned that appropriate Disciplinary Action would be taken against defaulting Students/Pupils.
Kiru quoted the state’s Commissioner of Education, Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda as reiterating the commitment of the present administration in providing quality education in the state.
“Kano State Government will do everything possible to create a conducive learning environment that inspires and empowers students to excel academically,” he added.
The Commissioner wished both teachers, students and pupils for successful commencement of the 2nd term academic session, stressing that intensive routine monitoring exercise would still be on course to ensure staff punctuality and efficiency.
