KWSG procures mattresses for NYSC temporary orientation camp

The Kwara State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and corps members serving in the state with the procurement of mattresses for the temporary NYSC Orientation Camp in Ilorin.

 

The mattresses were formally handed over by the State Commissioner for Youth Development, Amb. Shehu Ndanusa, who was represented at the ceremony by the Chief Administrative Officer of the Ministry, Mr. Bolaji Abubakar.

 

Speaking during the handing over, Ndanusa reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to ensuring that corps members are provided with a conducive, safe and comfortable environment throughout their orientation programme.

 

He noted that the provision of the mattresses was part of the government’s efforts to address the immediate needs of the temporary camp and improve the overall welfare of corps members.

 

The Commissioner expressed appreciation to the Executive Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for his prompt intervention and support for the welfare of the NYSC and corps members in the state.

 

Ndanusa stressed that the Governor’s timely approval for the procurement of the mattresses demonstrated the administration’s responsiveness to issues affecting young people and its commitment to strengthening the partnership between the state government and the NYSC.

 

He assured the NYSC leadership and corps members that the Ministry of Youth Development would continue to work closely with relevant stakeholders to identify areas of need and support initiatives aimed at improving the orientation and service experience of corps members in the state.

 

In his remarks, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Musa Kafarda, commended the Kwara State Government for the timely procurement and presentation of the mattresses, describing the gesture as a clear demonstration of the Governor’s commitment to the welfare of corps members and the success of the NYSC programme in the state.

 

Kafarda expressed appreciation to Governor AbdulRazaq, noting that the Governor’s commitment to NYSC-related matters had also received commendation from the NYSC Headquarters.

 

He added that the state’s support had strengthened the relationship between the Kwara State Government and the NYSC.
