MURIC hails Pantami over AU appointment
The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has congratulated Prof. Isa Pantami over his appointment as the Co-chairman of the African Scientific Research and Innovation Council (AU-ASRIC) by the African Union (AU).
Prof. Ishaq Akintola, Executive Director, MURIC, stated this in a statement on Saturday in Abuja.
“Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami was recently appointed by the African Union (AU) as a Co-chairman of the African Scientific Research and Innovation Council (AU-ASRIC).
“We have always known that Pantami will go places. This man is loaded. He is a worthy ambassador of Nigeria and a model per excellence for our youths.
“Whereas some doubting Thomases and agent provocateur saw nothing good in him when he was serving here as the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Pantami has now been elevated to continental level. Their pull-him-down-syndrome (PhD) did not work on him.
“This is a very important appointment. Pantami will now be crafting the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR) Policy and Strategy for the whole of Africa and the policy is expected to impact all the 54 countries on the African continent.
“It is our hope that Nigerians will learn one or two lessons from the rise of Pantami.
“Nigerians are immensely talented people but neither the people themselves nor the leaders appreciate what they have. Let us believe in our country. Let us have faith and confidence in ourselves and our true greatness will be realized.
“We congratulate Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami and wish him success in his new portfolio.”
