
She said that the quantum of the fake, adulterated and substandard food and beverages seized in the market, and the over 1,500 cartons of fake products destroyed on-site were worth over ₦5 billion.
“This is a major step toward safeguarding public health and curbing the circulation of fake products in Nigeria,” Adeyeye said.
The NAFDAC boss explained that three warehouses stockpiling expired Hollandia Yoghurt for revalidation on January 22, were discovered in the course of the operation.
