Obi Pays Condolence Visit to Jigawa Governor

The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr Peter Obi has paid condolence visit to Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi who lost his mother and son recently.
“It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that I extend my deepest condolences to you on the immeasurable loss of your beloved mother and son,” he said when he met with the governor on Wednesday in Dutse.
“We are here to commiserated with you, the government and people of Jigawa state, may God Almighty who called them home forgive all their sins and grant them eternal rest.
“The untimely passing of your son in his prime, is an equally devastating blow. No parent should ever have to face such a heart-wrenching loss. His dreams and potential will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, even as we mourn the loss of such a bright and promising future,” Obi said.
He urged the governor to muster the strength to endure “this unimaginable pain”, and prayed God to provide Namadi with the fortitude to bear the loss.
Responding, Namadi expressed gratitude to Obi for the visit, describing the gesture as a signs of love and friendship for the people of Jigawa state.
“On behalf of myself, my family, Jigawa state government and entire people of the state, we sincerely thank you for the love, concern and compassion. We are really indebted to you on your show of love, care and concern”.
