Over 162 bodies found in Kwara terrorists attack

Kwara Governor, Abdulrahman AbdulRazak

Over 162 bodies killed by terrorists have been discovered by residents after Tuesday’s mass murder in Woro and Nuku communities, Kaiama local government area of Kwara state.

Residents said the terrorists also abducted many residents after setting ablaze homes, shops and vehicles.

The deceased were lined up and slaughtered by terrorists believed to be Boko Haram and allied elements who have set up base in Kainji forest.

Meanwhile, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq said he was saddened by the cowardly attack on civilians in Woro and Nuku communities.

According to him, the attack is a cowardly expression of frustration by terrorist cells following the ongoing counterterrorism campaigns in parts of the state and the successes so far recorded.

Governor AbdulRazaq said the attack was apparently to distract the security forces who have successfully hunted down several terrorist and kidnapping gangs across many parts of the state.

The Governor expressed heartfelt condolences to Woro and Nuku communities on the sad incident, especially the families affected in the Tuesday attack.
