Police arrest man who allegedly cut-off friend’s ear
Police in Lagos State have arrested a man for allegedly cutting off the right ear of his friend over a misunderstanding.
The Command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the arrest on Wednesday, said that the incident occurred on Monday at Abattoir in Agege area of Lagos.
Hundeyin said that one Abdulahi Adulmalik of Abattoir Market reported the case to the Abattoir Police Division immediately after the incident.
He said the complainant told the police that at about 4.00 am. on the same day, one Bashiru Ahmed, used a sharp knife to cut off the right ear of the friend over misunderstanding they had in 2023.
Hundeyin said that the victim was rushed to hospital and is responding to treatment.
According to him, the suspect has been detained wfor interrogation.
