PSC promotes 31 ACPs, 505 SPs, others
The Police Service Commission Board has approved the promotion of 31 Assistant Commissioners of Police, and 52<span;> Chief Superintendents to the ranks of Deputy Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners, respectively.
Also promoted were 505 Supretendants to Chief Supretendants and 84 Deputy Superintendents of Police to Superintendents.
This was contained in a statement issued by Ikechikwu Ani, the commission’s Head of Information.
He said that the promotions were approved during the reconstitued board’s first meeting held in Abuja.
Those promoted to Deputy Commissioners are Godspower Origho, Abubakar Argungu Ibrahim, Kabiru Ibrahim, Ochiabutor Ejike, Danladi Ibrahim, John Amaechi Ngwoye, Sulieman Salihu, Udeme Stephen, John Danjuma Sendere, Aliyu Haliru, Atiku Musa, Adeniran Babatunde, Daniel Habila, Suleiman Oba Toyin, Suleiman Gulma, Aliyu Sa’ad, Kabir Mohammed, and Ralph Soledayo Akinbisehin.
Others are Olurunfemi Gbenga, James Navokhi, Shehu Alao, Mustapha Waziri, Edun Azeez, Gregory Itobere, Baba Kalli, Ahmed Ibrahim, Abdul Adejo, Tissing Nandiyak, Audu Sabo, Yahuza Samaila Shall, and Kaita Abdulkadir.
Among those promoted to Assistant Commissioners were Fatimah Gimba,Offiong Effanga Effiong, Yusuf Alhaji Bala, Simeon Vitalis Timbomna, Edward Etim Akaniyere, Ikenna Adolf Ogwu, Joshua Omololu Adewalehinmi and Edward Hangior Weghyina, Oladele Bamidele, Ikechukwu Kingsley Osuoha, Niyere Andrea Rwang, Olubunmi David Apapa, Godwin Oko Onah, Patrick Chukwuma Agbazue, Stephen Ikor Ukam and Yusuf Jafaru Abdullahi.
The Commission Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu (rtd), congratulated the newly promoted officers and said the commission will continue to build the capacity of the Police Force to effectively discharge its duties.
He enjoined all police personnel to be patriotic in the service of the nation.
