PSC Retires Police Officers Above 60, 35 Years In Service
The Police Service Commission has approved the immediate retirement of all senior police officers who have spent more than 35 years in service and those above 60 years of age.
The Commission took the decision at its 1st extra ordinary meeting held on 31st January 2025.
A statement issued by, Ikechukwu Ani,
Head, Press and Public Relations, said the meeting was presided by the Commission’s Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu, rtd.
It was attended by retired Justice Adamu Paul Galumje, representing the Judiciary; DIG Taiwo Lakanu rtd, representing the Police, and Chief Onyemuchi Nnamani, the Secretary to the Commission.
According to the statement, the commission’s decision has been conveyed to the Inspector General of Police for implementation.
