Reports of Hadiza Bala’s appointment as SGF false – Presidency
The Presidency has dismissed as fake, news reports of the appointment of Hadiza Bala Usman as replacement of George Akume as Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
Hadiza is currently the Special Adviser to the President on Policy Coordination.
A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, said there has been no change in the status of Akume as SGF.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, currently in Saint Lucia, has not made any new appointments.
“The information circulating about Akume’s replacement is untrue. Agents of mischief fabricated it.
“The Presidency advises Nigerians to disregard the fake news,” Onanuga stated.
