Turkish bride donates $40,000 dowry gold to support Gaza
A bride from Turkey’s Batman province has donated the gold she received as dowry during her wedding to support the Palestinian people in Gaza.
The total value of the gold, which amounts to 1.5 million Turkish lira is approximately USD 39,035.87.
A report by Royal News TV said that the bride, has chosen to remain anonymous.
She expressed her desire to make her wedding a starting point for charitable works.
According to the report, the bride said she chose to alleviate the hardships faced by the people of Gaza to inspire others to bring succour to the millions of Palestinians, mostly women and children, who were displaced and deliberately being starved by the Israeli government.
