JIGAWA GOVERNMENT OPENS TENDER FOR PROCUREMENT OF 10 TOYOTA HILUX, CONSTRUCTION OF MODERN CELL/ARMORY

The Jigawa State Government has opened tender for the procurement of ten brand new Toyota Hilux vehicles, as well as the construction of a modern cell/armory, offices, and fencing work for the Nigerian Civil Defence Corps Command Headquarters in Dutse.

Declaring the bid open, the Permanent Secretary, Directorate of Special Services/Council Affairs, Alhaji Abba Mustapha Yola, revealed that six companies are competing for the contracts. He emphasized the importance of adhering to applicable procurement processes and guidelines to ensure transparency, accountability, and value for money in public spending.

He stated that the opening of the bids does not constitute a binding contract; saying that evaluations will be conducted in accordance with established procurement rules and procedures.

The Permanent Secretary urged the technical committee to maintain a transparent and impartial selection process and called upon the successful contractor to adhere to the project timeline.

Engineer Kabiru Usman K, the representative of the Directorate of Due Process and Projects Monitoring Bureau, highlighted the need for the contractors to prioritize quality and timely delivery throughout the project execution.

He also urged contractors to ensure their company profiles are updated with the Due Process and Projects Monitoring Bureau, Ministry of Commerce, and other relevant organizations.

Responding on behalf of the bidders, Auwal Ahmed, representative of ANNUR-MUS SYNAGY SERVICES, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the procurement process and assured their commitment to meeting the government’s standards.

He stated, “This bidding process represents a significant advancement in enhancing the mobility and operational efficiency of security agencies in the State.”
