A former Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom and three others have been suspended by the state branch of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for alleged anti party activities.
The State Working Committee of the party took the decision at its meeting held in Makurdi.
Those suspended alongside Ortom are the state Deputy Chairman of PDP, Mr Isaac Mffor, Zone A Vice Chairman, Adzua Ashongo, and Publicity Secretary, Mr Bemgba Iortyom.
This was contained in a statement on Monday by the Media Consultant of the PDP, Cornelius Hwande.
Ortom was suspended for backing the Labour Party Governorship candidate and Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress during the last general election.
On his part, Ashongo was suspended for alleged gross insubordination and indiscipline, while Mffor and Iortyom were suspended from the PDP for snatching materials meant for the conduct of ward congresses in Buruku and Ushongo local government areas, respectively.
