Israel’s Channel 12 reported on Sunday morning that all incoming and outgoing flights at Ben Gurion International Airport were suspended following a missile attack launched from Yemen.
The channel confirmed that explosions were heard near the airport, triggering panic and sending millions rushing to shelters.
No official statement has yet been issued regarding the extent of the damage or any casualties.
The attack comes amid rising regional tensions, as the Houthis intensify missile strikes on targets linked to the Israeli Occupation in support of the Palestinian cause.
Flights at Ben Gurion Airport have since resumed, but police have kept the airport’s entrances closed until the missile impact site is “processed.”
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) admitted to the failure of its interception attempt.
