Company organises symposium on entrepreneurshiip, politics for youths in Yobe

A company, Alwadi International Limited, has organised a symposium to enlighten the youth of Yobe State on the opportunities in entrepreneurship and politics, and how to leverage them for the growth of the society.
The symposium, held in Damaturu, drew participants from the 17 local government areas of the State.
It has the theme: Rebranding Enterpreneurship and Politics, a panacea for societal growth.
The Chairman of the occasion, Hassan Sardauna pointed out that the programme was meant to engage the youth on best practices in politics and businesses through religious perspective.
He commended the efforts of the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni for investing massively on youths development.
Sardauna said that the young people should take advantage of the government empowerment opportunities, provision of modern markets, and the enabling environment to pursue opportunities in the political space and entrepreneurship.
According to him, Alwadi under the leadership of its CEO, Abdullahi M Auwal is making tremendous efforts in supporting the people of Yobe state in various ways.
On his part, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth Affairs, Hashimu Nuhu Hashimu charged the participants to reflect on the lessons of the symposium.
The Emir of Damaturu, Alhaji Shehu Hashimi Ibn Umar El-Kanemi, represented by Aji Sudani of Damaturu, Alhaji Bukar Kime lauded the company for the awareness creation initiative, and urged other companies to emulate them.
The symposium featured lectures on various topics, including ‘Enterpreneurship and Politics in Islam’ by Sheik Goni Ali Kamsulum of Yobe Islamic Centre; ‘Women in Politics’ by Fatima Paga; Issues about Hisba Commission by Imam Yunusa Ahmad, and Relevance of Youth in Maintaining Law and Order by Security Adviser to the Governor, among others.
