Ex-Jigawa Governor’s son turbanned District Head

The Emir of Dutse in Jigawa State, Alhaji Muhammad Nuhu, has turbanned Alhaji Abubakar Sule Lamido as Kaigaman Dutse and District Head of Bamaina.
Abubakar is the son of former Jigawa governor Sule Lamido.
Presenting the letter of appointment after turbaning him at his palace in a colorful ceremony, the Emir charged the new district head to work toward ensuring peace and development in the district.
Nuhu said the appointment and posting of Lamido was based on the recommendations of the emirate council and the approval of Gov. Umar Namadi after considering his contributions to the development of the district, Dutse emirate and the palace.
The Emir who spoke through the senior councillor of the emirate and Galadima of Dutse, Alhaji Basiru Sunusi, said charged Lamido, also a former Foreign Affairs Minister, to use his wealth of experience in executing his new task.
“Apart from the fact that you inherited the position, your care and concern to this palace, emirate and Bamaina district became adding advantage that made the Emir to honor you with the position.
“This palace and the emirate is confident on you of doing you best to serve your people of you district, Birninkudu local government area and the state,” he said.
He urged the new district head to be fair and justice at all of his actions.
” I urge you to focus more on Zakkat collection. Proper Zakkat collections and distribution will help to improve peace and wealth to the individuals, communities and society in general, ” he said.
In his response, Lamido expressed gratitude to the state governor, the emir and members of Dutse emirate council for finding him worthy of the appointment.
