Four passengers have been confirmed dead and six reported missing after a boat capsized in Madobi Local Government Area of Kano State.
According to the state fire service, the boat was conveying 14 passengers when it capsized.
The Public Relations Officer, Kano Fire Service, Saminu Abdullahi said local divers and other responders were searching for the missing victims.
According to Saminu, they were alerted about the accident by Aminu Garko, the councilor for Kauran Mata Ward in the local government area.
According to him, those who died have been buried by their families.
