ISWAP, Boko Haram Clash Leaves Many Terrorists Dead In Borno

Many terrorists have been reported dead following clashes between Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) and Bakoura-led Boko Haram fighters on Thursday.

Sources said that the clash between the rival terrorist gangs led to heavy casualty on both sides.

Intelligence sources indicated that the clash occurred east of Mallam Fatori in Borno State, and the eastern side of Boso on the border with Niger Republic.

Sources said dozens of terrorists died on both sides while several others sustained severe injuries.

“The two groups have been engaged in bitter rivalry over influence and control in the area. This latest confrontation has further weakened their operational strength, as many fighters were killed, and their hideouts exposed,” a source said.
