IGP Announces New Appointment For Emefile

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has appointed Deputy Commissioner of Police Osifo Tony Emefile, as the new Director of Sports for the Nigeria Police Force.

Emefile will succeed Patrick A. Atayero, a Commissioner of Police who superintended over the 12th Biennial Police Games, BIPOGA, in 2020.

The new director of sports is bringing in years of experience as an athlete and  sports administrator.

He was a former striker for Police Machine FC, President Police Scrabble Association, and current Chairman of Police Athletics Association.

Emefile is the Chairman of the Technical Sub-Committee for the 13th and 14th BIPOGA, and represents the Force on the League Management Committee of the Nigeria Professional Football League.

Egbetokun charged him to improve on the feat recorded by his predecessor and upscale sports development in the Nigeria Police Force.
