Matawalle commends troops of FOB Rijana along Kaduna-Abuja expressway
Minister of State for Defence, Dr Bello Matawalle on Saturday stopped at the Forward Operation Base in Rijana along Kaduna-Abuja expressway while on his way to Kaduna from Abuja.
The minister ordered his convoy to stop in order to assess the situation when he spotted people gathered in clusters alongside troops of the base.
The minister was informed that the troops had just returned from a very successful operation against bandits, where they rescued some rustled cows, which were being temporarily held at a local school for onward transmission to the Kaduna State Government.
Matawalle commended the troops for their resilience and bravery, and charged them to continue protecting Nigerians with unwavering dedication.
He said he was proud of the accomplishments of the troops and encouraged them not to relent. Matawalle assured that the government remained committed to supporting all security agents to discharge their jobs effectively.
